So Dr.House's physical personality sounds reading Sir Aurther Canon Doyle's description of Sherlock Holmes. Height, built, face structure - pointed jaw bones, long nose(not that long thought), face shape, well mostly it sounds like the description of sherlock holmes. Next his behaviour, considering Holmes and House had more than 100 years difference, we can conclude Holmes is little mild compared to House. In case if Sir Aurthur had to re-write Holmes character to this century I would say it would match exactly with that of House's character. Blunt, sarcastic, no interest in ordinary things, cares for the what has to be achieved and nothing else.
And finally in episode 16 in season 2 where Wilson is kicked out of his home and stays with House we get to see the door number of House's residence 221B, same as Holmes door number. Next we have to find out whether the street is baker street. The director has really done great job of taking Holmes character and converting him into a doctor.
